Brent is open for business

Brent council spends around £220m a year with third parties and this is your opportunity to be part of a brand new team. The council has recently redefined the role of its Procurement Team, with a clear focus on supporting the delivery of high quality, value for money services to Brent’s 300,000 residents, its businesses and communities. The team will also lead the development of the council’s contract management capabilities to ensure that those services are effectively managed and continue to provide value through their lifecycle. With the majority of the council’s budget spend with third parties, there is also a key role for delivering policy objectives through procurement – from social value to tackling modern slavery and building a healthy economy with the London Living Wage, Brent is leading the way on many aspects of responsible procurement.

We’re seeking to appoint into a variety of roles to help support and lead these initiatives. This is a rare opportunity for the successful candidates to be part of a new team where their ideas and contributions would be welcomed and valued. The groundwork for success has been laid, with the recruitment of a new Head of Procurement into the organisation and a new team structure to support this. You might come from a public or private sector background, or have a blend of both. You might be an established procurement professional or be looking for the next step in your career. Whatever your background, your future at Brent could be a bright one. If you have the commercial acumen and passion to make a difference consider joining us here at Brent Council and help us take our procurement to the next level.
