Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.

Brent are proud to be the London Borough of Culture for 2020. Our bid is built around young people, and reflects how Brent has been more culturally diverse – for longer – than any other London Borough.

Wherever you look in Brent, you will find challenges and also opportunities. Some of the communities we serve are vulnerable and marginalised, and of course local authority financing has been severely constrained and radically restructured. But in Brent we look more for opportunities, and to date have succeeded in finding innovative and creative solutions to the many issues we face.

This is a great opportunity to lead change from the front whilst ensuring an effective customer centric service is delivered to meet the organisational goals in Brent.
